Cleveland Carving Club is a haven for woodcarving enthusiasts based in Billingham. Established in September 2014, the club aims to promote the art of woodcarving in a friendly and informative atmosphere. Whether you’re a seasoned carver or a newbie looking to carve your legacy, this club offers a warm and welcoming environment.
Cleveland Carving Club was started in September 2014 with the aim to promote the art of woodcarving in a friendly, informative atmosphere. We meet in St Cuthbert’s Church Hall, on the Green in Billingham every Thursday from 11.30 to 14.00. We are now inviting those who have an interest in wood art to come and join us in our new venture.
We have been offered a Saturday morning slot at the hall from 9.00 to 12.00 from the 3rd September and are looking to expand our club for those interested who can’t make the normal mid weekly slot. So, if you’re working and have an interest in woodcarving now’s chance to get involved. We also are looking to invite new members to our Thursday group as well.
We need to know if you’re interested, and if you have any queries, please contact Ian by email clevelandcarvingclub@gmail.com,. . Experienced carvers with tools welcome, but There will be an invited intake for new beginners to carving to allow for new members to get to grips with the skills needed. So, get in touch early. Under 16 membership is available, but only with an adult to assist in supervision.
